Flere spillnettsteder og -magasiner holder sine egne E3-kåringer basert på hva man har sett og spilt i løpet av denne hektiske uken i Los Angeles. Men den viktigste og mest grundige kåringen står Game Critics Awards bak.
Hele 35 av de største spillmediene i verden stemmer her frem sine favoritter. Kriteriene er at spillene må være spillbare for å bli vurdert. Og nå er listen over nominasjoner klare.
«BioShock Infinite» og «Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception» fikk flest nominasjoner (fire hver). Like bak – med tre nominasjoner – ligger «Batman: Arkham City», «Battlefield 3», «From Dust», «Sound Shapes», «Star Wars: The Old Republic», «The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim» og «Tomb Raider».
Skal man sortere etter hvilken plattform som får de fleste spillgodbitene, leder Xbox 360 med 55 nominasjoner. Dette er altså E3-spill som kommer ut til nettopp denne spillkonsollen. PlayStation 3 har fått 48 slike, og PC ligger like bak med 42.
Den nye håndholdtkonsollen til Sony, PlayStation Vita, fikk sju nominasjoner, mens Nintendo 3DS har tre.
