As the latest installment in the franchise, Sonic is set to make a new legacy with awesome, sword wielding action on the Wii.

Overview

Sonic & the Black Knight is a Wii only game that came out in March of 2009. In the latest Sonic storybook adventure following after Sonic and the Secret Rings, Sonic is summoned by the sorceress Merlina to the time of King Arthur. The King has become consumed by darkness and turned into the Black Knight. Using the sword Calibur Sonic will run into many familiar friends in Arthurian persona's as he fights to stop the Black Knight. As seen from the TGS trailer Jun Senoue of Crush 40 will be returning to compose music for the game and the theme for the game is called "Knight of The Wind". The game will feature multiplayer. It will be a 4 player death-match mode using swords and a mode where you have to defeat one big baddie as fast as you can. The game's length is 4 to 5 hours.

Gameplay

Sonic & the Black Knight differs from it's other games. It mixes melee fighting with it's traditional platforming. To compare, think of the Werehog fights in Sonic Unleashed.

Multiplayer

Up to four players can play in the Multiplayer. They can select from 12 different characters from the Sonic canon. You can play as Sonic, Knuckles, Shadow, Blaze and Amy in their normal stages and in their Arthurian forms. You can also play as King Arthur.
