Pac-Man World is a 3D platform game for the Playstation. This game celebrates the 20th anniversary of Pac-Man.
The story to this game starts out with all of the Pac people going over to celebrate Pac-Man's birthday. As they were going to the party, all of them were kidnapped by ghosts. When Pac-Man came home, he finds his house completely ruined with all the party decorations and cake destroyed. Upset, Pac-Man goes off to discover who was responsible for the party crashing. It appears to be the evil Toc-Man trying to take over Pac-Man's life and now you have to rescue your friends from him.
The gameplay of this game stays true to the original Pac-Man. You eat pellets. Eat a super pellet and you can eat ghosts. Get hit by ghosts and you die. This time around, you're fighting ghosts in a free-roaming 3D world. This time, you're not just fighting ghosts, you're also fighting many different enemies in which you can destroy using your butt bounce. Also you now have a spin dash to get through areas quickly. Also, you can now use your pellets to attack enemies. You also have a new life bar where you can take hits without dying. There are 6 worlds to explore with 23 levels to beat in order to save your friends.
