Batman Arkham City Lockdown

Batman Arkham City Lockdown
A spinoff of Batman: Arkham City developed by NetherRealm Studios, the game is a mix of Infinity Blade-style fighting mechanics with Batman boss encounters.

Overview

Trying to replicate Batman: Arkham City on a mobile platform, Lockdown is a game that features Infinity Blade-style fighting with a basic overworld map. Developed by NetherRealm Studios, this game has Batman fighting thugs, crooks, and four villains. It also has an upgrade mechanic similar to its console big brother in making Batman a better fighter, but you can also spend real money via an in-app purchase if the player doesn't want to earn experience for WayneTech points honestly.

Combat is handled with finger swipes, and Batman can counter any attack by swiping upwards to throw his cape or dodge any attack by tapping the screen. Batman can also use power ups during battle, including electrified gauntlets and using health packs. Each boss encounter throws a new touch mechanic at the player, having Batman do anything from tilting the device to guide a batarang into Two-Face or wiping the Joker's poisonous flower squirts from the screen.

Unlockables include character bios, wallpapers, and a portion of the Arkham City digital comics. Extra Batman costumes are also available for purchase, not just adding a new costume to Batman but also giving him varying base stats. Like Arkham City, the game features a New Game+ system that allows players to start over with a levelled-up hero.
