Magic: The Gathering
Magic: The Gathering (and its two expansions) is the first PC version of the incredible popular trading card game. Apart from multiplayer modes, the game features an interesting and very replayable single-player mode. In single-player mode, the player plays a wizard (choose one of the five colours at the beginning of the game that constitute your starting hand) and has to defeat the five arch wizards who reside in their towards. The huge random map is full of ruins, towns, caves, shipwrecks etc. and there is lots and lots for players to explore, treasures to find, new cards to buy and get as quest rewards. Whenever the wizard faces an enemy, the game switches to battle-mode, a visual GUI that simulates a game of MTG and ends when either opponents runs out of life or cards.
